Second Date Ideas
The second date with someone is usually much more laid back, so it’s a great time to do something fun and relaxing but also keep getting to know one another. You’re not quite ready for a date at home either, that’s why it should be somewhere that you can talk and interact easily.
After all, this is your chance to see if the spark is still there and to find out as much as possible about the person to see if they are third date worthy.
Here are a few fun second date ideas, luckily there are plenty of places that are perfect.
The arcade is a great place to challenge one another in a fun way. A little competition is great for a budding relationship. Plus, it gives the guy an opportunity to try and win the girl a prize, which makes him feel manly and is very sweet and romantic.
Sometimes that item is a memory they hang onto for years.
Trivia night at a local bar is a great second date. Between amazing your date with your plethora of useless knowledge you can chat and get to know one another more. Plus, who doesn’t love bar food. You may want to avoid anything messy, like chicken wings. That could be a second date disaster.
Release Your Inner Artist
Okay, so maybe you don’t have an artsy bone in your body, but everyone can find something they think is cool at the museum. Besides, doesn’t everyone love the mummy? After you’ve explored the museum and had a chance to talk (quietly) then you can have a picnic lunch on the museum lawn.
Not in a car, but on the range! If you are a guy you can share your expertise on golf with your new sweetie. If you are a girl, you can pretend not to know much about golf, and then impress him with your great swing. Either way it’s a win-win because you get to be close.
If the driving range is intimidating, mini golf is always an option. Just don’t drive the ball here…you may knock someone out!
The amusement park is a no-brainwork-required activity for a second date. You get to spend the entire day together having fun, and when it gets dark the entire park will light up creating a romantic setting. What could be a better memory than a first kiss on the Ferris wheel or carousel?
Before your second date, you can sit down and mentally go over all the things you learned about on the first date.
Try to choose a second date that will help you learn more about the person. For example, if you want to see if they have a “softer side”, go to a pet store or volunteer at a soup kitchen. Anything you want to know you can find out on a date.
